PAINTED NAILS is a documentary showing at the 2016 CAAMFest Film Festival in San Francisco this week. This documentary follows Van Nguyen’s journey as she bravely speaks out on behalf of her co-workers, the Vietnamese community and nail salon patrons everywhere on the hazards of the cosmetics industry on consumer health. VLF’s second fellow, Gina Szeto, focused her public interest project on the Nail Salon project with the Advancing Justice – Asian Law Caucus.
